Ground Well Signal of Arpino

This project began with found rocks and wells in Arpino, where the city’s stone-filled terrain naturally shifts under movement. By observing how stones fall into cracks through daily vibrations, the artist developed a rule-based system that reads these patterns as signals, echoing the logic of an abacus. The work becomes a temporary public installation and an open manual. Anyone can follow the method to read, interpret, or alter the stone patterns, transforming Arpino’s landscape into a living system of coordinates and messages.
