Filler Words and Vine

Filler Words and Vines is an experimental video that examines how language behaves like a natural form. The work begins with a fragment of real conversation. Its typography separates complete sentences from their branching filler words and turns spoken language into a visible structure.
The vine motif functions as a metaphor for nature. Through movement, the text grows, twists and extends, mirroring the unfolding of tone, hesitation and rhythm in speech. Randomized values generate organic variations, allowing the typography to simulate the unpredictable growth of vines.
By aligning linguistic structure with natural morphology, the piece frames language as a living organism, something that expands, adapts and evolves within the act of expression.
