BODY COMB

BodyComb is an experimental tool for bodily exploration, derived from the translation of letterforms(A, G, D, E, C, I) into touch. Strokes transform into protrusions, lines extend into handles, creating a new tactile language, and transcend the cultural signals inherent in letter recognition itself. Made with 3D-printed resin, its surface is initially rough, yet gradually polished through use, inscribing traces of time and contact with the body. BodyComb offers no fixed way of use—it may comb the skin, press along meridians, or simply serve as an open medium of perception, inviting each user to discover their own tactile path. In the often overlooked sensitivity of the skin, BodyComb establishes a subtle and intimate field of experimentation. It extends the lineage of traditional Eastern massage practices while responding to contemporary design’s inquiries into the relationship between body and object. More than a tool, it is a narrative that coexists and coevolves with the body.
